2023: Establishment
NCCA was founded in alignment with the Sports Act 2013 to promote chess at the county level, focusing on grassroots talent development.
Empowering Minds, Strengthening Communities Through Chess
The Nairobi County Chess Association (NCCA) is the official body mandated to promote, organize, and grow chess within Nairobi County. As an affiliate of the Chess Kenya Federation, we are committed to fostering a vibrant chess community that nurtures talent and supports grassroots development.
Established in 2023 per Kenya's Sports Act 2013, which mandates decentralization to promote grassroots talent, NCCA brings chess closer to local communities. Following our formation, we held democratic elections to appoint a dedicated leadership team, ensuring transparent governance.
