Terms Of Service

Welcome to the Nairobi County Chess Association ("NCCA", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service govern your use of https://ncca.or.ke (the "Site") and participation in any NCCA events or services.

By accessing the Site or registering for events, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Acceptance of Terms

You confirm you are at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent if younger. We may update these Terms at any time – continued use means acceptance of the new version.

2. Use of the Site

You may only use the Site for lawful, non-commercial purposes related to chess activities in Nairobi County.

3. Accounts & Registration

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account or registering for events.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at [email protected].

4. Event Registration & Participation

  • Registration fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by NCCA.
  • All participants must comply with FIDE Laws of Chess, Chess Kenya rules, and the NCCA Code of Conduct.
  • NCCA may refuse entry or disqualify anyone for misconduct, cheating, or unsportsmanlike behaviour.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on ncca.or.ke (text, images, logos, posters) is owned by NCCA or its licensors. You may not copy or distribute it without written permission except for personal use.

6. User Content

By submitting photos, comments, or other content, you grant NCCA a royalty-free, perpetual license to use it for promotional purposes.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You must not engage in cheating, harassment, hacking, or any behaviour contrary to the spirit of fair play and respect.

8. Privacy

Your data is protected under our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, NCCA is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed fees paid by you (if any).

9. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your participation in NCCA activities shall be resolved in the following order:

  1. First, in accordance with the rules and regulations of Chess Kenya (CKF);
  2. If not resolved, in accordance with the FIDE Laws of Chess and related regulations;
  3. Finally, under the laws of the Republic of Kenya, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Nairobi.
